FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How many sessions will my tattoo take?

  • The number of sessions depends on size, placement, level of detail, and how your skin responds during the process.

    As a general guideline:

  • Smaller designs (around 5–6 inches, moderate detail) usually fit within a half-day session

  • Medium pieces (around 6–10 inches) may take one full day or multiple sessions depending on complexity

  • Larger projects such as sleeves or detailed compositions are completed over multiple full-day sessions

  • Keep in mind that not all designs scale the same way.
For example, a 7-inch tiger may fit within a half-day session, while a dragon or snake at the same size typically requires more time due to flow, composition, and level of detail.

  • You can explore the portfolio page to see real examples, including size and number of sessions for each piece.

  • Every project is planned individually to achieve the best result.

What is the minimum price?

I offer two session formats:

  • Half-day session (around 3 hours): $1,000

  • Full-day session (around 6 hours): $2,000

The minimum project price is $1,000.

Full-day sessions can also be split into two half-day sessions
if you prefer a more flexible schedule or want a more comfortable pace.

Accepted payment methods: Cash, Zelle, Venmo, and cards.

How does the booking process work?

  • Submit your inquiry with your idea and preferred placement. Reference images are always helpful, but not required. Even a rough idea is enough to get started.

  • For larger or more complex projects, we may schedule a consultation to go over details in person and make sure everything works well with your body and placement.

  • Once the concept is discussed and aligned, a deposit is required to secure your appointment.

  • Your session is scheduled, and the design is prepared closer to your appointment date.

How does the deposit work?

  • A $200 deposit is required to secure your appointment.

  • The deposit goes toward the final cost of your tattoo.

  • The deposit is non-refundable if:

  • you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours notice

  • you arrive more than 30 minutes late

  • you do not show up

  • In these cases, a new deposit is required to rebook.

  • If you are feeling unwell, please reschedule in advance.

Will I get to see a drawing or sketch before my session?

Designs are typically prepared close to your appointment date or created directly on the skin during the session

This allows for:

  • better placement

  • adjustments based on your body

  • a more natural final result

Small changes can always be made in person

Because of workflow and project volume, designs are not sent in advance

How old do I have to be to get a tattoo?

You must be at least 18 years old with a valid government-issued photo ID

How should I prepare for my appointment?

  • Eat a full meal at least 1 hour before your session and stay hydrated.

  • Feel free to bring snacks and drinks.

  • You’re welcome to take breaks if needed. Water and some snacks are available at the studio, just let us know.

  • Bring something to keep yourself comfortable, such as headphones, an iPad, or a book.

  • If you plan to use your phone, please stay mindful of movement during the session.

  • Wear clothing that allows easy access to the tattoo area and that you don’t mind getting stained.

  • If possible, shave the area beforehand to save time. If you’re unsure you can do it cleanly without cuts or irritation, we’ll take care of it during the session.

  • If you have sunburn, irritation, or any skin issues in the area, your appointment will need to be rescheduled.

Does it hurt?

Pain levels vary depending on placement, size, and your individual tolerance.

Most clients describe the sensation as manageable, especially with breaks and proper preparation.

Areas with thinner skin or closer to bone tend to be more sensitive.

Getting good rest, eating beforehand, and staying hydrated can make a noticeable difference.

If needed, we can always adjust the pace during the session to keep you comfortable.

Can I use numbing cream?

  • I generally don’t recommend using numbing creams, as they can affect how the skin reacts and how well it takes the pigment.

  • We usually start the session without it.

  • If at any point the discomfort becomes too much, I do have products in the studio that can help soothe the skin during the process.

What about timing during the session?

Your appointment may take slightly longer than the tattooing time itself

Additional time is often needed for:

  • placement

  • sizing

  • stencil adjustments

  • freehand drawing

We also take short breaks throughout the session, typically around 5 minutes every hour, to keep you comfortable.

What are your Aftercare Instructions?

Your tattoo’s final result depends heavily on how well it is cared for

Please follow the aftercare instructions carefully

If you are unsure about anything, ask before taking action

How long does it take a tattoo to heal?

  • Initial healing takes about 2 weeks

  • Full skin recovery takes several months

If the skin is peeling or appears shiny, it is still healing

A fully healed tattoo should feel like the surrounding skin
